They Said Protesting Wouldn’t Change Anything

Not even two months in the Occupy movement has already forced a major, international corporation, Bank of America, to change an announced policy of charging $5 a month for the use of a debit card. Other major banks have already rescinded plans for a monthly debit fee or made pledges not to charge such fees.

The media and the powerful elites will tell us that we aren’t achieving anything, but they’re wrong. Our voice is being heard all the time. We are changing things with our words and actions. Stay strong, continue the conversation, continue the occupation.
